  • New Sheriff's Office Uniforms: CJI students Denise Champagne, Melisa Hubbard and Karan Kane are working with the Broward County Sheriff’s Office. The county has not changed their uniforms in 30 years and is now conducting research to determine which are best!  The CJI students just completed the first component of the project by inputting the survey in excel format.  The data will be collated by Staff Services and the second component will entail the analysis of survey results which would be undertaken next week.  The goal is to expose these students to "real" data sets and provide them with the tools to manage a survey project.  An outcome of this project is for the students to hone their research and analytical skills and utilize these skills in graduate courses.
